Before launching the game

  • Check for Windows 10 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, an SSD, DirectX 12, and a hardware ray-tracing-capable GPU with at least 8 GB VRAM.
  • Use the PC configuration checker to compare your hardware with the official reference requirements.
  • Do not use old Prologue performance reports as a guarantee for the paid Early Access build.
  • If Steam Deck is your only device, note that Valve rated the game Unsupported at the September 5 check.

Learn Nux, Search, and pickup prompts

The Prologue introduces Nux through Noa’s woodland walk and introduces the hotel search prompts later as Aaron. Treat these as separate actions: identifying something, searching it, and collecting what you find.

  1. In the woodland opening, use Nux on the indicated points of interest and torches to follow the tutorial.
  2. When a Search or Open prompt says to hold an input, keep it pressed through the interaction.
  3. After a bag or container opens, confirm the item pickup. If an object falls onto the floor, look down and collect it there.

Keep track of the Prologue’s characters

The opening changes both viewpoint and time period. Clio’s arrival in the library is the next story scene after Noa’s woodland introduction; it begins an investigation into her father’s message.

Avoid the three bedroom pickup mistakes

  1. At the sofa, finish searching the bag and collect the revealed relic before moving on.
  2. At the mirror-side shelf, collect the Dry Leaves from the floor after the vase breaks.
  3. At the window chest, count four individual candle pickups. Opening the lid alone does not satisfy the ritual.

Choose the next guide by your actual blocker

Use the Agnes relic page if the hotel bedroom has stopped your progress. Use the ritual troubleshooting page if the bed prompt does not appear. Use the system requirements and Steam Deck pages before diagnosing performance as a gameplay problem.
