What can be said with evidence
One ProtonDB contributor said they completed the free Prologue in about an hour without issues. Other reports describe severe performance problems, especially on Steam Deck, while some desktop Linux users reported a smooth launch.
That range is useful as a record of community experience, but it is not a representative review sample and it does not replace a controlled playtest.
Decision framework
- If the official Prologue returns for free, it is a low-cost way to inspect the tone and core loop on your own hardware.
- If only the paid Early Access build is available, judge it by the current store content and refund policy rather than old demo reports.
- If handheld performance is the deciding factor, wait for current-build Steam Deck evidence.
